Heart Transplant

You are a member of a surgical team at County General Hospital. All the patients listed below MUST receive a heart transplant TODAY or they will die. There

are only TWO hearts available and YOU must decide from this list which two patients will be heart recipients.

  1. A 70 year old female politician credited with creating and protecting the country’s first Health Care Program. She is a devoted grandmother of nine

and mother of four.

  1. An ethnic minority ex-convict who made a lot of money dealing illegal drugs. But his “business” gave him the capital to start a community based

program to help keep kids out of gangs and in school. He also supports his entire extended family of 25 including multiple children born from different

mothers.

  1. A never before married 30 year old militant feminist who leads pro-choice demonstrations. She is a wonderful mother who is very active in the PTA but

is deeply distrusting of men. She works as a microbiologist seeking the cause of breast cancer.

  1. A distinguished war veteran and amputee, a person of color, who created a national training program for people with disabilities. He is under

investigation for possible embezzlement of program funds to support a known gambling addiction.

  1. A 40 year old pro-life politician who used to belong to an extreme religious organization prior to being elected. (In his campaign, he recanted the

group’s philosophy). He wants to post the 10 Commandments in all public schools and has sponsored numerous political bills to fund school lunch programs and

teacher training.

  1. A white 15 year old female who comes from an abusive family environment but has tested as intellectually “gifted”. She has been arrested for

shoplifting and smokes 2-3 packs of cigarettes a day.

  1. A single 65-year-old pediatrician from India who has lived in America for 15 years. Prior to his arrival here, it was rumored that he had become

“unmarried” to his six wives under suspicious conditions. He runs a free pediatric clinic for children who cannot afford to pay for medical services.

  1. A scientist/researcher who is known to be closely associated with a white-supremacist group and is very close to discovering a cure for AIDS.
  2. An ex-Roman-Catholic priest who works with small children in a day-care center. He is a homosexual and a strong gay-rights advocate. His partner

recently tested HIV positive.
