1. From https://databank.worldbank.org/source/world-development-indicators, or http://data.imf.org choose any 3 variables that have relationship to

each other but from completely different areas. Select at least 10 countries for 10 years. ( 2 marks)

2. Introduce the variables and explain the possible relationships among variables with the help of literature. (3 marks)
3. Pool the data according to the variables, each variable consists of 100 observations. (0.5 marks)
4. For each variable identify the level of measure as nominal, ordinal, interval, or ratio. For quantitative data, also note if they are discrete or

5. For each variable construct a grouped frequency distribution using “Histogram” in “Data Analysis”. Draw a histogram, frequency polygon, Pareto and

ogive (cumulative percentage) for the distribution. (2 marks)

6. Describe briefly the shape of the distribution using histogram and information of Kurtosis and Skewness. (0.5 marks)
7. Using “Descriptive Statistics” report the results for each variable and interpret in your own words. (1 mark)
8. Calculate percentile 55 and decile 4 for each variable. (0.5 marks)
