1. Describe and show essential. high priority information about the disorder and appropriate diagnostic or surgical procedure. Identify nursing assessment and diagnostic procedures or laboratory values that indicate the disorder. Include a possible abnormal EKG rhythm/strip that may be associated with the disorder. 3. Explain possible complications of doing (or not doing) the procedure and/or treatment. 5. Prioritize patient problems and identify appropriate interventions: diet (specific foods), medications, activity. and education that are needed. 6.
