This topic focuses on two issues—how meaning is taken from works of art; and what kinds of responses would answer the question “What is the meaning of life?” From the entire history of art, you are presented with samples from all eras and shown how the works express important ideas. From among these, you choose two that represent the meaning of life from your perspective. You analyze what you see and use the results of your analysis to write about how art illustrates the meaning of life.
