Daily Assignment Guidelin" rel="nofollow">ines Hum 212 • All daily assignments must be typed, double-spaced on white paper. • Students must use a reasonable font (Bookman Old Style, Book Antiqua, Palatin" rel="nofollow">ino, Arial, Georgia, Bell MT). • Students must use a reasonable font size (12-poin" rel="nofollow">int). • The student’s name must be on the top left-hand corner. • The title must be centered 1 ½ in" rel="nofollow">inches from the top of the page. • A good analysis will consist of two paragraphs, in" rel="nofollow">incorporatin" rel="nofollow">ing one or two quotes from the text. (You must have at least one quote.) • At the bottom of the page, the student must in" rel="nofollow">include an MLA citation of the work under analysis. • Miscellaneous considerations: • The assignments are worth ten poin" rel="nofollow">ints. • Many times I will direct the response, but most often the assignment will consist of “What argument is the text makin" rel="nofollow">ing?” • No response should be longer than one page. • I want to give you plenty of leeway with these assignments (I tend to be very generous with the “content” grade), but you should treat them with respect and sobriety: they constitute a high percentage of your overall grade.
