Ice hockey coach

You are the coach of an ice hockey team when an athlete comes up to indicating that they got their “bell rung”. They indicate that they feel fine at this point. How do you as the coach handle this situation? Would you allow them to return to play? Why or why not? You do not have an athletic trainer to refer to.
Discuss what a graduated return to play is. Discuss why this aspect of concussion management is so important. What are the New Jersey Interscholastic Athletic Association’s recommendations for return to play. How would you educate a parent about concussions and concussion management that is insistent that their child is healthy enough to return to play when in fact they are not recovered from the concussion. Be thorough, as I will be responding as the parent. You must convince me, as the parent, that my child cannot play.
