You are being asked to develop business ideas you could pursue either later in life or for your business plan. Think about some ideas you have. If you are stuck use some of the suggested sources in the text including visiting crowdfunding and trend sites, watching some Dragon’s Den videos and/or maybe some techniques such as brainstorming.
You should likely develop a list of 8 – 10 ideas then narrow the list down to the best three.
After narrowing the list down to the best three, discuss the ideas in class and in the online discussion modules. Your post should include the following information:
- Your business idea and name for the business (be creative with the name if you want).
- A short paragraph where you note what products or services your business will sell. Use the marketing mix as a guide. Ensure you mention your target market. Do not hesitate to include a picture or link here.
- A few lines on why you think the business would be successful.
In addition to posting about your own business, you must comment on the work of others. For example, you may comment on what business idea you like the best and why, offer suggestions to market the business, point out similar businesses and/or ask questions.
