1: Illegal Drugs and Crime

Order Description Question= Critically discuss the various ways in which illegal drugs and crime can be argued to be linked, with particular reference to the research evidence 1. Demonstrate a critical knowledge and understanding of a range of theories and explanations of substance misuse 2. Demonstrate an understanding of contemporary approaches to and debates about working with substance misusers and of resources available in addressing substance misuse. 3. Demonstrate a critical understanding of the links between substance use and misuse, community, crime and social exclusion Critically consider the possible (proposed) links between substance misuse and crime, the links between substance misuse and social exclusion and/or the possible effects of substance misuse on the local community, with reference to relevant theory and evidence. Also demonstrate an awareness of the implications of these links. Critically draw on international comparisons, using appropriate academic and policy-related evidence. Include critique of our knowledge and understanding of these issues, and the difficulties in measuring, identifying and (trying to) explain them (particularly as the issues are complex and relate to ‘hard-to-reach’ groups). Set out possible (relevant) links and effects, relate these to various theories and explanations and critique these. Demonstrate knowledge across a variety of different links/relationships.

2: Lightweight and heavyweight product managers
