- Describe the Landscape of your Industry. Is this an industry that is growing? What is important for you to know about this industry before entering? You can use the Occupational Outlook Handbook and O*Net Online to discuss the job outlook for your industry.
- Summarize your Work Values & Limitations of your search. In this section you can utilize the CareerLeader Motivators section or any additional values you have determined to be important in your career. Think also about any limitations you have like location, hours, type of industry/company, etc.
- Create a SWOT Analysis. Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats. Strengths and Weaknesses should be internal. What are some of the strengths you have, what are some of the areas of improvement that you would like to expand on? Opportunities and Threats are external.
