ATTACHMENT PAPER GUIDELINES
The importance of attachments in early childhood is broadly discussed and explored, but less attention is paid to how strong and Secure/Insecure attachments influence an individual’s life. You are to discuss attachment styles, describe a specific age group, research and summarize attachment related to your age group, and tie all of your material together to conclude a general consensus about attachment and development. You must use a minimum of 3 resources for your paper.
Generally discuss the different types attachment styles according to Ainsworth, and Main.
• Cite a book or article as a reference.
Describe any age group of your choice in detail.
• You may use your book as a reference.
Pick from one of the following:
• Infancy and Toddlerhood (0-2)

• Middle Childhood (6-12)
• Adolescence (12-18)
• Early Adulthood (20-40)
• Middle Adulthood (41-64)

• You must cite the article as a reference and you may have more than 1 reference here.
Make a Conclusion and apply your research article to your age group: for example, People who lack attachments as children are bound to lack them in older age as well. Describe your age group and tie in development.
