Influence of research evidence on the internationalization of the curriculum in Korea
Write an assessment task to address an authentic educational issue in a professional context. It will involve you exploring and reflecting upon the process of using research evidence in relation to a real-life educational issue in a professional context that you have experience in and/or are interested in. The process will involve a number of inter-connected steps:
identifying an educational issue that you wish to work on in a professional context that you know and/or are interested in searching, selecting and critically examining research evidence relating to your selected issue and context exploring different ways in which the research evidence could be used in relation to your selected issue and how these ideas could be shared with others in that context reflecting on what you have learned about using and communicating research evidence in a professional context. The Issue and Context (500 words)
A description of your selected educational issue and the professional context in which it occurs. This should make clear what the issue involves, how it has arisen, who the key players are, and why it is important.
The Relevant Research Evidence (1000 words) — A detailed discussion and critical appraisal of a range of research evidence relating to your selected issue and context. This should provide a clear picture of the research evidence that is available in relation to your selected issue, and your judgment of the quality of that evidence.
Using the Evidence in Relation to the Issue (1500 words) — An in-depth exploration of (i) different ways in which the above research evidence could be used or be helpful in relation to your selected issue: and (ii) how these ideas could be shared with others in that context. This should describe and explain the ways in which you feel the research evidence could be applied to your selected issue and how these ideas could be communicated with relevant stakeholders within your context.
Lessons Learned (1000 words) — A reflection on what you have learned about using and communicating research evidence in a professional context. This should clearly articulate the key insights that have emerged for you from undertaking this assignment.
