Teacher Salaries
Go to the American Federation of Teachers website and search for the most recent data on "teacher salaries" and fin" rel="nofollow">ind the state you selected for your Session Long Project. Compare the teacher salaries in" rel="nofollow">in your state to teacher salaries in" rel="nofollow">in 3 other states and to teacher salaries in" rel="nofollow">in the United States in" rel="nofollow">in general. In 2 to 3 pages, discuss these comparisons.
Be sure to analyze multiple variables. For example, one important variable to consider is cost of livin" rel="nofollow">ing in" rel="nofollow">in different locations. For in" rel="nofollow">information on this, check out the Salary Comparison Calculator. Locate 1 or 2 additional websites for this in" rel="nofollow">information.

Elements and Functions of an Effective Information System
Your Session Long Project for this course is a research paper you write about a state Board of Education in" rel="nofollow">in the United States - of the state of your choosin" rel="nofollow">ing. (You should select the state in" rel="nofollow">in which you reside or one that in" rel="nofollow">interests you. If your residence is not in" rel="nofollow">in the United States, you may select the Board of Education for your region or provin" rel="nofollow">ince).
This research paper will be developed in" rel="nofollow">in Modules 1-4. You will submit a portion of your research paper by the module deadlin" rel="nofollow">ine. To successfully write your research paper, you must complete the followin" rel="nofollow">ing:
Select a state website and review their e-services on the Internet.
Review the background in" rel="nofollow">information for each module (these resources are in" rel="nofollow">intended to help you gather in" rel="nofollow">information for your SLP).
Write and submit each component of the SLP for each module
Do your research and in" rel="nofollow">include references not provided in" rel="nofollow">in the background readin" rel="nofollow">ings.
At the Master's level, students are expected to do in" rel="nofollow">independent research to complete the SLP research paper.
Contents of your SLP Research Paper
Each Module of the SLP project should be a min" rel="nofollow">inimum of 2-3 pages in" rel="nofollow">in length, not in" rel="nofollow">includin" rel="nofollow">ing cover sheet and reference list.
Your research paper should in" rel="nofollow">include:
Background in" rel="nofollow">information about in" rel="nofollow">information systems and e-services in" rel="nofollow">in education
External factors that impact the effectiveness of e-services offered by State Boards of Education
A comparison of teacher salaries nationally as related to teacher salaries in" rel="nofollow">in the state you have chosen to review
The e-services your chosen state Board of Education currently offers on its website
Your recommendations for additional and/or revised e-services that should be offered on your chosen State Education website.
