This week you will begin" rel="nofollow">in workin" rel="nofollow">ing on your Signature Assignment for this course, a "Stress and Copin" rel="nofollow">ing Toolbox." This will be an organized collection of ideas, resources,
theories, and techniques that can help you as an in" rel="nofollow">individual and as a healthcare professional deal with stress. The toolbox will consist of at least five compartments,
or categories, such as "Defin" rel="nofollow">initions of stress, key players in" rel="nofollow">in the field of stress, relevance of stress to biomedical models, the role of emotions and cognitions in" rel="nofollow">in
stress, cross cultural and developmental explanations and expressions of stress."
Your task this week is to determin" rel="nofollow">ine the categories for your toolbox and prepare an outlin" rel="nofollow">ine. How you format your fin" rel="nofollow">inal toolbox will be up to you. In addition, you will
make your first four tool entries, based on your readin" rel="nofollow">ings for this week. You will gather material for your toolbox each week from course readin" rel="nofollow">ings and your ongoin" rel="nofollow">ing
research for literature.
Include what seems important to you at this poin" rel="nofollow">int; your in" rel="nofollow">instructor will give you feedback on the tools you choose and you yourself can edit your toolbox entries
throughout the course.
