The engin" rel="nofollow">ineerin" rel="nofollow">ing and construction division of the Firm has been presented
the opportunity to submit a request for proposal (“RFP”) to the California High-Speed Rail
Authority (“CHSRA”) to contract for engin" rel="nofollow">ineerin" rel="nofollow">ing, designin" rel="nofollow">ing and the construction of a segment
of the nation’s first high-speed rail train" rel="nofollow">in corridor. Before the Firm submit a RFP, it needs a
detailed busin" rel="nofollow">iness report (at least 10 pages for the BODY of the report*) regardin" rel="nofollow">ing the followin" rel="nofollow">ing
aspects of the High-Speed Rail (“HSR”) project:
1. What is HSR? When was the HSR Authority created and what’s its purpose?
2. What is the HSR Authority’s plan to implement the project?
3. How will the HSR Authority fund the project?
4. Are there other countries that have HSR? If yes, who are these countries and what is the
realized benefit or negative results of a HSR train" rel="nofollow">in?
5. What are the beneficial or negative results (e.g. fin" rel="nofollow">inancially, environmentally and socially)
to California by havin" rel="nofollow">ing a HSR train" rel="nofollow">in?
6. What are the beneficial or negative results (e.g. fin" rel="nofollow">inancially, environmentally and socially)
to Fresno by havin" rel="nofollow">ing a HSR train" rel="nofollow">in?
7. Should the Firm participate in" rel="nofollow">in the HSR project? That is, what are your conclusions and
recommendations?
