Intergenerational Leadership: Millennial Generation in the Workforce

Q: How can Millenials work with the Intergenerational workforce? Q: What type of leadership styles are best for each of the major generational groups that are in today's workforce? The student will research motivation, as it relates to leadership and millennials, and apply the literature from one area (e.g., leadership) to another (e.g., millennials) in an effort to understand the relationship between motivation, leadership, and millennials. In addition, qualitative and quantitative data, theories, and other lessons learned will be extracted from the literature and analyzed to determine how to motivate millennials and what changes, if any, should be made from a leadership perspective. The literature on millennials, motivation, and leadership will be synthesized to determine how to best help the organization form an action plan to address the perceived issues with millennials and management. Although there will be many sides to the millennia​‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍​l argument, all sides should be presented in an effort to obtain a balanced review of the literature. The final result should be an operational plan useful to organizations to better understand or solve this managerial problem, as well as proposing solutions supported by scholarly, peer-reviewed literature.
