The Internet is loosely governed by a number of societies such as the ISOCF (Internet Engineering Task Force). But considering the worldwide importance of the Internet, shouldn’t there be a single governing body -- perhaps run out of the United Nations -- that would make decisions about the future direction of the Internet? Or would this be a poor idea? Explain your reasoning.
