Interview a Musician

Arrange an interview with a performer or conductor.  Ask the musician the questions below, along with any others that you supply.  Keep in mind that a certain percentage of your grade will be based on the thoughtfulness and persuasiveness of your writing in the final ‘Comments’ sectionPlease be concise and clear in your answers.   If you choose to ask additional questions, please include them in this worksheet.   Interview Questions: What is your name? In which music ensembles have you participated?  In what capacity? Do you take part in concerts frequently?  Approximately how many performances a year? Describe a recent performance in which you participated (group, which instrument/voice, and repertory performed). How is active participation in music-making different from passive listening? What decisions do you make while performing music? What styles of music do you most often perform? Describe the specific styles that you perform frequently.
