Are boys and girls actively demonstratin" rel="nofollow">ing play preferences which reflect their gender? Are practitioners and parents aware of a gender in" rel="nofollow">influence on children’s play choices? 1. Methodology and methodologies to be used: Interviews of 10 min" rel="nofollow">inutes duration for practitioners and observations of children in" rel="nofollow">involved in" rel="nofollow">in play. 2. To support the research I will do an activity to explore children’s play choices and how, if at all, they relate to gender. I will in" rel="nofollow">invite children aged 2-5 years to be in" rel="nofollow">involved in" rel="nofollow">in the activity, 5 girls and 5 boys from each years category (2-5) would be an anticipated sample. Durin" rel="nofollow">ing the activity I will ask each child to select a preferred toy which will be offered to them, children could choose from a Mickey Mouse or Min" rel="nofollow">innie Mouse soft toys. All this in" rel="nofollow">information will be protected as it will be in" rel="nofollow">in the in" rel="nofollow">invisible file on the desktop of my computer, and it will be ensured that the identity of the in" rel="nofollow">institution and participants will be protected. The names of the participants will not be used and changed to ensure confidentiality. I will ask parents for in" rel="nofollow">informed consent on behalf of their children and will also ask the children if they are happy to be in" rel="nofollow">involved (see attachment for permission letter). I will also ask practitioners and schools for their consent, the pro-formas of these letters are also attached. Structure of thesis is attached and should be applied. It should be done in" rel="nofollow">in 3 days of startin" rel="nofollow">ing on dissertation, as my mentor wants to see it !! Also data is uploaded. For Observations part of data collection is necessary to lin" rel="nofollow">ink and analyse data with relevant theories which talk/show about gender preferences and connect them with observed data and make analysis. And also for the rest data collection it is necessary to make data analyse. \
