Rather than being stared at or avoided, these individuals fade into the crowd. Their disability is not seen; therefore, it is denied. Invisible disabilities are disabilities that are not immediately apparent to others. They can include physical, cognitive, and mental health conditions. Some examples of invisible disabilities include:

- Mental health conditions, such as depression, anxiety, and PTSD
- Cognitive impairments, such as autism, ADHD, and learning disabilities
- Sensory impairments, such as hearing loss, visual impairment, and tinnitus
