Is it ethical to hide the truth from a patient who is terminally ill?

This is an essay for my speech class and it an argumantitive essay.
Requirments:

1. Choose a debatable topic (a topic that has multiple sides) and write a 1 page essay that briefly explores the issue.
2. The purpose of this paper is to inform the audience of the issue.
3. Use at least 1 credible source in the content of the paper. Cite the source internally and include a works cited page that follows the APA style manual.
4. Format follows APA guidelines (12 point font, Times New Roman, double space)
