Is Progress an Act of Destruction?

Design a podcast of your own. You will submit a description of your podcast and a least one image for the
landing page--the place online listeners would come to find episodes. You will also record one episode that
incorporates at least THREE of our British Literature texts and answers our big question: Is Progress an act of
destruction?. The episode must address our big question about Progress, but your overall podcast concept can
be a larger idea. Consider the following:
What podcast topics might contain an episode on Progress or British Literature? Podcasts about politics, films,
comics, education, parenting, technology, science fiction, women's rights, women's history, etc. The choices
are endless.
What makes your podcast interesting to listeners?
Who are your target listeners? Age? Race? Interests? Professions?
Write a 50-150 word description of your podcast (about a half page double-spaced). This is not a formal
academic-style writing assignment. This description should entice readers to click play on an episode and
should be written with a specific audience in mind.
Choose an image that represents your podcast. Be sure to include a URL to that image if it's not your own
creation.
Give your podcast a name.
Write and record an 8-10 minute episode that provides an answer to our big question through discussion of at
least three literary works we read about in this class. Music at the beginning and end is also permissible, but
should not exceed 1 minute of the recording.
