Jesus’ engagement with those who sought him.
The higher-order thinking of Bloom’s taxonomy can be seen in Jesus’ engagement with those who sought him. Jesus used the following statement to his followers into higher-order thinking. “Truly, truly, I say to you, you are seeking me, not because you saw signs, but because you ate your fill of the loaves. Do not work for the food that perishes, but for the food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you” (John 6: 26-27). As Jesus’ followers engaged in active learning, they asked him questions to get a more profound knowledge of the teaching. Jesus replied by saying that he was the bread of life and whoever comes to him will never hunger nor thirst (John 6: 35). Jesus also informed them that even though they had seen him, they did not believe (John 6:36). his response facilitated transformative learning. Jesus’ discussion with his followers also enabled them to distinguish the difference between the bread of life, and as they assessed their reliability on the spiritual bread, which was Jesus Christ, and worked toward building their faith in him.
