Your individual private Journal maintained on Blackboard (the journal is only viewable by yourself and the professor). The Journal is your opportunity to self-assess your awareness and understanding of the texts/media and ideas/issues that we have explored up until that point of the course. The further idea for your journals is to explore ideas of interest for your “final paper.” In this sense, please feel free to bring in other ideas, sources, and authors.
Your journals create a time for you to reflect on what you thought what were the most exciting ideas/issues and dynamics that we have been contemplating during the previous weeks of this course. Your journals entries should be very well-written, highly finessed and polished, and indicative of critical thinking and reflection.
