Kessenich on the ability to hone history-taking skills

Kessenich (2008) suggests, "The ability to hone history-taking skills is what separates novices from experts in problem identification and differential diagnosis" (p. 305) In your current work context (or a previous one), observe and reflect on the efficacy of a colleague's assessment and diagnostic skills, in a particular situation. Critically analyse the situation from the perspective of literature/theory versus actual practice. Identify the barriers and facilitators of the novice/expert skills in achieving holistic assessment and diagnosis.
