Review the paragraph below. Critically assess and evaluate which approaches to international LMD would apply. What actions might be recommended for Wilem and colleagues?
“Wilem is the genuine international manager. He speaks fluent English and German as well as his native Dutch and moves regularly throughout Europe and United States, doing deals and opening up opportunities for his company. His mind travels easily across the barriers of culture and language. Although constantly on the move, he is seldom away for more than a week or so at a time and he only deals with external representatives of companies and agencies he visits; there is little involvement with their internal structures and management arrangements. It is quite stimulating and he often meets the same people who seem operate a similar circuit in the high-powered, esoteric world of international business” (Torrington, Hall, Taylor & Atkinson, 2009 pp.317-318)
