Analyze one or two of the stories or poems we have read (and will read) March 4 - 25. Then argue for an interpretation of theme, mood or tone based upon your analysis. Include an assessment of how the overall movement (kairos moment) contributes to your analysis. Realism/Naturalism/Modernism and the Black Arts Era/Movement are the two literary movements we are studying. Choose from the author selections presented in class. Incorporate support from at least three scholarly sources for your argument. Additional types of support are encouraged to strengthen your analysis.. So, you may have more than three sources beyond the scholarly ones required. For instance, you may also draw upon current events from credible
periodicals or news sites. Required in MLA format.
