Introduction/Literature review a. Set up the current research study by reviewing relevant literature. A literature review is intended to comprehensive (i.e. review all relevant literature), but if you are reviewing a very broad area, or multiple literature areas, make sure to at least include the research most relevant to your current study topic. This means that multiple references and citations should be incorporated into the literature review section b. Make sure that a reader who is a novice to the research you are reviewing would have enough of an understanding of the topic and constructs at hand that after reading the introduction he or she would understand the current research question. c. Set up your current research topic. What gap in the literature is your research study aimed at addressing? What novel insight would be gained from this research?2. Current research a. Briefly state your current research question(s) and hypotheses b Do you have any supplemental predictions about what might emerge in your data, outside of your primary prediction?
