In this writin" rel="nofollow">ing activity, you will learn how to give and receive feedback as well as how to evaluate a speech.
Begin" rel="nofollow">in by first readin" rel="nofollow">ing the article, Rules of Constructive Feedback. Then, I’d like you to go to the website, American Rhetoric and fin" rel="nofollow">ind a speech that is of in" rel="nofollow">interest to you. Usin" rel="nofollow">ing the Peer Feedback Form, view and evaluate the speech.
Next, based on the in" rel="nofollow">information from the Rules of Constructive Feedback article and the Peer Feedback Form, you are to write a critique on the speech you chose. Address the followin" rel="nofollow">ing in" rel="nofollow">in your critique:
Introduce the topic of the speech and explain" rel="nofollow">in why you chose this particular speech.
Describe the speaker’s delivery. What was effective and what was in" rel="nofollow">ineffective.
Describe the speech’s construction. Critique the in" rel="nofollow">introduction, conclusion, main" rel="nofollow">in poin" rel="nofollow">ints, and organizational pattern.
Identify what the speaker did well and why.
Identify what you thin" rel="nofollow">ink the speaker could improve upon and why.
Explain" rel="nofollow">in what you learned about speech makin" rel="nofollow">ing from watchin" rel="nofollow">ing this speech and what you could use from what you have learned in" rel="nofollow">in your own speech makin" rel="nofollow">ing.
Your essay should be between 250-300 words and must in" rel="nofollow">include an in" rel="nofollow">introductory paragraph, direct answers with evidence in" rel="nofollow">in the body, and a concludin" rel="nofollow">ing paragraph. Please submit your completed Peer Feedback Form along with your essay.
