Main themes and problems in Foucault, Davis, and Agamben

What are the main themes and problems in Foucault, Davis, and Agamben
In class we have spoken about the prison and the camp, biopolitics, punishment, discipline and control (surveillance). What is it to speak about bare life? Give examples from history or current issues? Do you agree with Foucault that the prison is virtually extended to society, with Davis’s idea that the prison industrial complex is the continuation of slavery, or with Agamben’s notion that the camp is virtually everywhere? Go back to the issues of sovereignty and labor and revise your understanding and account of them in light of these final readings. What are some possible figures of new subjectivities?
