Male display behavior in siamese fighting fish
Determine whether male fighter fish invest more energy in aggressive or courtship displays depending on the stimulus. We hypothesis that a male fighter being exposed to a female displays more
courtship than aggressive behaviours, whereas a male fighter being exposed to a male displays more aggressive than courtship behaviours. The second aim will examine whether order of exposure alters
the investment of energy in aggressive and copulatory displays towards another individual (male or female). We hypothesise that aggression will be positively correlated to increased reproductive
fitness of male Bettas. We also hypothesise that the order of exposure will alter the investment of energy in aggressive and copulatory displays towards another individual (male or female).
