We have already explored two key resources for data this semester: the American Community Survey (along
with U.S. Census data) and Mintel's Consumer research.
Another source of data is the Pew Research Center. For this week's discussion board, it's time to familiarize
yourself with Pew, because we will be using referencing their work at many times throughout the semester. You
may also find their resources helpful as you begin thinking about your final project in this course.
Specifically: visit the Pew Research Center online.
Identify one Pew Research Report, interactive or dataset published in the past 2 years, that you find interesting
to you (note that they have research on global topics, science, social trends, etc.)
Review the information and identify at least one (but hopefully more) way that cross-tabulations were used to
produce the results.
In your post for the week, summarize the study (what was Pew reporting on? what was the objective of the
study?) and describe how a cross-tabulation of survey data likely produced the interesting results that you
learned about.
