Mock Conference Scenario: You and the parent need to meet to discuss a concern you have with his/her preschool child?s behavior in" rel="nofollow">in school. Prepare a plan for the parent-teacher conference and in" rel="nofollow">include the followin" rel="nofollow">ing: ? A sample letter in" rel="nofollow">invitin" rel="nofollow">ing parents/family for the conference (You have already determin" rel="nofollow">ined the best time and day through your survey and /or other communication with the family) ? An in" rel="nofollow">introduction: State the goal and purpose for the parent-teacher conference. Describe the behavior concern to be addressed. ? Write a mock parent-teacher conference dialogue o Write what you would actually say to the parent, from start to fin" rel="nofollow">inish and what you might expect the parent to say. o Indicate what you would improve or change if the conversation became confrontational or emotional o Indicate what accommodations you would make if the family?s home language is not English and/or any accommodations you may wish to make if the family?s culture is different from yours. ?
