Motion on An Incline

Must follow the order of sections given below for each lab report you create. The report should be broken up
into sections for each experiment. Each section can be organized as follows: I have also provided two sample
lab reports for your convenience. SampleReport1 , SampleReport2
Title page: The first page should be a Title page with the title of the lab, the date and your name
Objective: purpose of the experiment
Method:
explain how to perform the experiment
draw diagrams including forces, velocities etc.. if possible
theory. I want you to show derivation of all equations required for the experiment

Sample Solution

Data: you only include data collected during the experiment. If possible, I want you to include data in different
tables. Write a title of the table. Write headings of each columns of the table with proper units. If you calculate
any quantity that has to be in the calculation and analysis section but NOT in the data section.
Calculation and analysis section:
Include all your calculations in this section.
You must show one sample calculation for each different calculation you do.
I want you to show the equation you used to do the calculation.
The graphs should also be in this section.
If an experiment has several sections such as Part A, Part B etc.. first finish all calculations for Part A and then
move to the next part.
Make sure to answer all the questions given in procedures, in-lab and post-lab sections
Conclusion: Discuss the meaning of your results and state your conclusions. A summary of results, an
evaluation of the results, a discussion of the sources of error, and a discussion of how well the objectives of the
lab were met. (Did you find what you were looking for? Even if your results are excellent, what possible errors
existed and how did they affect your experiment. Give at least two possible sources of error. “Human errors”,
“calculation errors”, “measurement errors”, are too general and will not count for credit).
