Motivation directs behavior toward particular goals. Motivation increases initiation of and persistence in activities. Motivation affects cognitive processes. Motivation often enhances performance. In this assignment, I would like you to write a hypothetical letter to your Human Resources Director at your future employer about how important motivation is and how you will use motivation to further your career. You can also include how the company assists in motivation. Include the following thoughts in your letter (and more): How can an employee and an employer use goal-setting to increase motivation and improve job performance? How might your engagement as an employee and job satisfaction influence job performance? Discuss motivational theories and explain how these can aid in job performance.
