Performance Management
In Week 3, you included SNMP elements and specified the Wi-Fi and VPN capabilities to implement the
wireless and remote communications between Roadster Corp.'s network devices. This week, you will focus on
how performance monitoring probes capture information to monitor the traffic and how the information will be
used for the management of the overall environment.
Based on Roadster Corp.'s requirements, extend your design document to include a performance monitor
probes and identify:
• Locations where these probes will be added and reasons for their placement (examples: performance
monitors such as Solarwinds by Orion: https://www.solarwinds.com/ )
• Parameters that will be monitored and reported by these probes
• Process of communication between network management stations and probes
• Configuration of performance monitor and alerts visit (or similar) network infrastructure diagram for all
Roadster Corp.’s offices
