Watch the PKGs listed below of the same story done by two different reporters. After analyzing the two packages, answer the following questions:
- In your opinion, which PKG was written better to convey the story to viewers?
- For the story you chose, what elements of news writing (or SOTs they used) factored into your decision?
- Give a brief assessment of the reporter's writing. Is it concise and understandable? Why or why not?
- Think about some of the elements I talked about in the lecture. What are some things the reporter in the other PKG could have done differently to make the
package better?
NOTE: For PKG #2, do not factor in the ending with the news anchors talking about the story as part of your analysis. You are simply using the information
from the PKG
