Imagine you are working for an organization that is concerned with an issue/problem that interests you. It will be easier if you select an issue other organizations are already working on.
Part 1: Mission Statement
Step 1: Review the mission statements of five nonprofits doing similar work. Turn in a list of the five along with the URLs where you found the mission statements (you do not need to submit the statements themselves).
Step 2: Using the 4-step guidelines in Chapter 5, write a mission statement for your imaginary organization. This can be inspired by the organizations you have examined, but should not copy them.
Part 2: Case Expression
Write a case expression of 250-500 words for your imaginary organization, following the list of expressive case expressions in chapter 5. Fill in any organizational details as you need to. The purpose here is to create a persuasive case.
Deliverable:
Submit all of this on a single document: 1. List of five organizations and the location of their mission statements 2. The mission statement for your organization 3. The 250-500 word case expression about your organization and what it is trying to do
