Nursing Process: Plan, Implement, and Evaluate, and Funding

The nursing process is a foundational element in professional practice. As a practicing professional, you
may have used the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate care for individual
clients in a variety of settings. In Workshops One through Four, you learned about the assessment and
nursing diagnosis of an aggregate as recipient of care. In Workshop Five, you will be introduced to the
planning, implementation, and evaluation of population-focused care. This ongoing effort will culminate in
the development of a Strategic Plan to improve an area in your community which addresses one of your
priority community nursing diagnoses and due in workshop seven.

Upon completion of this assignment, you should be able to:

Apply the nursing process to an aggregate as recipient of care within the community context.

Discuss the impact of funding streams and emerging healthcare reform on population-focused health
practice.
