Open Government and Related Issues: Applicable laws and Civil Disobedience

  Order Description       Open Meetings Laws, FOIA laws, Personal Financial Disclosure, including disclosure of family members’ finances, political activities of government employees; White House leaks, including leaks of the President’s transcripts of conversations with foreign leaders. In addition, reference demonstrations, police action; when is it permissible—morally or legally-- to avoid/evade ethics or other laws? How do civil disobedience and jury nullification fit into the legal framework? 1) state what the issue is 2) stating what the facts and related legal framework are 3) giving your advice/perspective 4) stating the reasons you have come to the conclusion you have reached, including describing the considerations on both sides of the issue and clear reasoning why your conclusion is better than the opposite conclusion, whatever that might be.
