Morrison’s has expanded and come a long way from the very first store openin" rel="nofollow">ing in" rel="nofollow">in 1899 to now boastin" rel="nofollow">ing the fourth largest retailer in" rel="nofollow">in the united kin" rel="nofollow">ingdom. Recently within" rel="nofollow">in the food in" rel="nofollow">industry has been the in" rel="nofollow">influx of new competitors such as Aldi and Lidl, these have changed consumer preference by more people lookin" rel="nofollow">ing towards the discount retailers. This
has caused Morrison’s to lose market share and customer base and change needs to be done to be a real competitor within" rel="nofollow">in the food retail in" rel="nofollow">industry. [Problems the organisation facin" rel="nofollow">ing]
These changes below are designed to encourage consumers to shop at Morrison by reducin" rel="nofollow">ing queuin" rel="nofollow">ing, addressin" rel="nofollow">ing empty shelves and reducin" rel="nofollow">ing the cost to shop onlin" rel="nofollow">ine. [Your proposal]
2 Investigate your chosen organisation to evaluate how it is currently performin" rel="nofollow">ing, and identify three operational areas that require change.

Another change that could be implemented is doin" rel="nofollow">ing a free delivery charge for non-peak times as currently Morrison’s charges £1, £2, or £3 delivery charges dependin" rel="nofollow">ing on the time of the day also you
will have to spend over £40 to receive the shop, whereas Tesco offer under £25 you in" rel="nofollow">incur a £4 charge but there is no min" rel="nofollow">inimum spend and if the shop is over £25 pound there is no cost (Tesco 2015).
Sain" rel="nofollow">insbury’s also offer a lower min" rel="nofollow">inimum basket spend of £25 pound but do in" rel="nofollow">incur a £6.95 pound delivery if under £40, if the shop is over £40 then a charge of between £2.95 and £5.95 is in" rel="nofollow">incurred
(Sain" rel="nofollow">insbury’s 2015). So one change for Morrison’s is to lower the total basket spend from £40.00 to £30.00 and to offer no charge for non-peak times.
