The major project for this course is the Research Paper, which you will complete in steps throughout the course in order to submit a polished version of the essay in Module 10. For this second step you will develop a proposal for your research. Your proposal should be about 750-1000 words in length, formatted according to APA style guidelines. Make sure your proposal includes the following elements:
A context for your topic
A problem statement which explains why this topic warrants study
A potential thesis statement regarding this issue (note that this need not be the final thesis you articulate after you collect and analyze data)
A description of the method(s) you will use for data collection, including a justification for why these methods will get the information you need to address the problem you identified
A description of your potential audience: Who will this research benefit?
