Choose either a state in the U.S. or a country (U.S. or any other). Find data relevant to the health of that state’s
or country’s economy. Present and discuss the data and write a paper summarizing what you think of the
current overall health and trends in that economy. I would use the U.S. economy.
At a minimum you should look at current data and recent trends in:
• employment/unemployment data
• GDP or GDI growth
• the inflation rate
• interest rates
You should also be able to explain whether you think the economy is in a recessionary gap or an inflationary
gap using the concepts of Aggregate Supply and Aggregate Demand. In the conclusion include whether the
country is doing well and will grow or doing poor and unlikely to grow in the future. Include 3 credible sources
with some intext citations and vocab doesn't need to be spectacular just decent.
