Choose a TED Talk video to analyze. TED talks cover a range of topics, so you should be able to find one that is of interest to you. You will write a claim and support that claim throughout your discussion. Your claim is based on the central message of the talk.
What argument is the speaker making? Once you have a claim, you will support your claim by exploring different aspects of the video such as content, tone, gestures, visuals, audio, and lighting. You will also discuss at least one of the rhetorical appeals (ethos, logos, pathos).
It is up to you to choose which appeal works for your discussion. Also, you must mention the title and speaker of the TED Talk in your introduction.
Your essay needs to show evidence of what we have discussed in class concerning invention and revision. Also, you must include the third-person point of view in this essay.
The final version of your essay must be three (3) pages in length. Additionally, you must include a Work Cited page. Please follow the directions provided in the syllabus regarding MLA format (i.e., your paper must be typed in a 12-point Times New Roman font, double-spaced with 1-inch margins on the side).
