"People quit managers, not their jobs or companies."

The textbook references a common but true cliche, "People quit managers, not their jobs or companies." [True Story] Recently, I declined a job offer due to

the fact, I did not believe that I could work for a direct manager, who I perceived to be a micromanager. I truly believed his/her leadership style would

create a conflict between us, and not be a good fit for me.

My questions are as follows: 1. Do you believe the above cliche is true? Why or Why not? 2. If you were interviewing for a job, do you think it is important

to interview the manager, as well? 3. What would be the most import traits in a manager, company or organization that you would work for? 4. How does that

align with your emotional traits.
