One such challenge is being placed with a preceptor who is limited in their willingness and ability to support learning, as well as their motivation to support the graduate nurse   Explain what a preceptor is A brief explanation and definition of topic Include the issues a preceptor faces Critically analyse the 5 phases of preceptorship Critically analyse current evidenced based literature in relation to preceptorship What is currently happening? Why is it happening. Discuss what makes a good nurse preceptor Include what you can do if you are faced with challenging scenarios i.e., a preceptor not supporting you or ignoring you. How you could approach such a challenging situations ie, being assertive and speaking up. Write a personal reflection, expressing your thoughts about preceptorship
