Purpose: To understand and analyze the effective use of persuasive strategies in a persuasive speech.
Task: Identify and summarize the persuasive strategies from Mary Fisher's speech "A Whisper of AIDS." Identify 2-3 persuasive strategies Fisher used that you
have also learned from Chapter 9 in The Speaker's Primer and module materials. Along with identifying the strategies, provide examples from Fisher's speech of
those strategies.
Criteria: To earn full credit for this assignment, students must submit a discussion post that identifies two to three persuasive strategies and examples of
those strategies. Students must provide feedback on two of their peer's discussion posts that include constructive reinforcement about their peer's ideas or
provide a different strategy suggestion. This activity is worth 5 points towards participation.
