One way that I believe is useful to help develop a more ecological worldview is to think carefully about space and place. Everyone has a specific place that gives them positive feelings. We can become emotionally attached to a riverbank, seashore, forest, prairie, or mountain range. If we are to truly understand the connections between our culture and the natural world, this is a great way to begin. For this assignment you are to (1) identify a natural ecosystem (e.g. a specific natural place, even a large city park could work, provided it has a self-sustaining ecosystem) that has moral/social/personal significance to you and describe it, where is it, what is near it, how do the things near it impact it? (2) who lives there now? Who lived there before? If it is a natural preserve, who lived there before it had this status? How did the people who used to live there survive? How did they impact the place?(3) how does this area make you feel? (4) what needs to be done to preserve this area for future generations? How likely is it that this will happen? How will you feel if the place is changed significantly? (5) How does our current culture (morals, values, politics, economy, technology) impact this place? The paper should use scholarly sources and follow the APA format to complete this in about 5 pages 5 scholarly sources 5 pages APA format Coherent argument on the topic of your choosing Well written, and edited
