Police Officer Drug Raid

    Police officers make drug seizures every day, seizing large amounts of drugs and cash. You are on your first big drug raid and have the assignment of just watching the occupants while the actual search takes place.  You are called to one of the back bedrooms for assistance and see two of the officers pocketing several hundred dollars from a large stash of cash seized from a secret hiding place in the closet.  Over $1 million is seized from the residence. • How do you respond after witnessing this?• Do you lecture the officers in the room about the ramifications of their actions?• Do you remain silent and act as if you didn’t see anything?• Do you report what you have seen to your supervisor upon returning to the department?
