Post traumatic stress disorder

  Analyze a disorder by developing a specific case study and use this as a method to increase understanding ofthe selected disorder for yourself and your peers. Utilize the psychotherapy modality of mindfulness. The case study for this assignment may be fabricated or blended from your experiences but must be original work by the student. The illustrative case study is to be submitted in written format, not to exceed a pages. Criteria for the illustrative case study is to include the following: 1. Develop a case study that illustrates the disorder chosen (post traumatic stress disorder) not to exceed one page. 2. Formulate a comprehensive and current list of evidenced based treatment guidelines and/or protocols/algorithms identified for treatment of the disorder. This should include only the title or name ofthe protocol or guideline as well as the reference and possible links for where these could be found. (and easily referenced by others)This must include both medication and psychotherapy approaches. 3. Chose one of the treatment guidelines and/or protocols/algorithms identified from #2. Provide details regarding medication used, psychotherapy method chosen (mindfulness) and rationale for selections including support from the literature for the treatments selected.
