Essays should engage the issues discussed during the course of the quarter in relation to a film (or films) analyzed in class. First and foremost this means analyzing the sound-image relations work within a film in relation to specific sound design approaches and techniques. You should draw upon the conceptual terminology that we have been using all quarter to discuss the sound in film. Other films may also be discussed with the professor’s permission. Term papers are due by noon on Monday, March 16, 2020. Please upload your paper to canvas. Papers should be double-spaced, formatted in 12-point font, and include a bibliography.
